Patient: Rayito
Exam: May 22 and June 16
History/Findings:  He was rescued by Fundación Rayito (a nonprofit organization that rescues abandoned dogs/cats). He was rescued at 2 months of age from the streets. He was born without both front limbs. He has had surgery for patellar luxation; also femoral head exeresis for hip dysplasia and hemilaminectomy for a thoracolumbar hernia. He is a wood personality. He comes to consult because of cervical pain and severe pruritus in the tail. Clinical signs: severe cervical pain, pants all day, PD/PD, has bad temper that is getting worse, persistent thrombocytopenia, severe pruritus at the tail, lumbar area, and thighs. His pulse is weak, weaker at left, His tongue is red-purple and wet
Western: Cervical pain and pruritus
Eastern: Jing and Yin deficiency, Cervical Qi stagnation, Liver Qi stagnation, wind
Acupuncture Principle: Tonify Jing and Yin, Disperse liver Qi stagnation and move stagnant Qi at the cervical area, eliminate wind

In the second treatment, the owner reported that pain and pruritus significantly reduced for the first 10 days posttreatment, and then it started to come back again but not as bad as the first time

Other: Students of the CVA Session 2 participated in all the treatments to Fundacíón Rayito in an extracurricular activity
