Research Grants
The World Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (WATCVM) accepts research grant applications related to Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) each spring. To be considered for funding, the research proposal, besides following the outline below, should illustrate that the applicant understands the problem, proposes a logical TCVM solution, and designs a scientifically sound method for evaluation of the proposed solution. The number of awards each year will depend on the fund availability. Proposals must be received by April 1 of the current year and will be reviewed by the WATCVM Research Committee, but the committee may request an external review or consultation by an expert regarding specific issues in the proposal. Completed proposals should be submitted to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The results of the Research Committee evaluation will be sent to the investigator within 90 days of April 1 of the current year. Approval obtained for animal care and use may be pending at the time of submission, but approval is necessary before using the funds.
The proposal guidelines must be followed during the preparation and submission of the application. Applications that fail to follow the guidelines, including formatting instructions, will not be reviewed. The received applications in this cycle will be evaluated, scored, and ranked by the committee and funding decisions will be made based on the rank order. A composite critique will be provided for each application.
Note: Application process is subject to change. Research grant awards are subject to change based on available funding.
